About J.R. Goss
My father, the late Reverend J.R. Goss was a born minister. Blessed with a caring and generous spirit, he was quick to lend a hand to anyone in need regardless of color. The above quote by Dr. Martin Luther King best describes his life. Generosity was simply his way of life. I once recall a hilarious act of compassion that fell into what I consider what were you thinking category. It occurred early in the 60s on a return trip to California where he was living the time. On this particular journey back he stopped and picked up a hitch hiker. Later, after becoming to sleepy to drive he pulled over and allowed the hitch hiker to drive while he slept. As his descendants were honored to continue [some parts] of his legacy of giving.
